Endicott College hosted the Southern New England Chapter of APPA (Leadership in Educational Facilities) Summer Conference, with sustainability being the main theme. The Office of Sustainability presented on sustainability at Endicott with a particular focus on energy and student engagement in sustainability. The EH&S manager presented on the College's compliance with MA DEP regulations.

We have submitted case studies to the annual RecycleMania competition regarding waste and recycling events on campus.

After competitive review, Endicott was published in the APPA magazine for an article on climate resilience and stormwater management on campus.

Endicott sustainability staff meet with staff at Salem State University to discuss program collaboration and best practices.

The College also works closely to share best practices with nearby Gordon College and Montserrat College of Art.

The Office of Sustainability helps to advise city officials on sustainability initiatives.

A brief description of other collaborative efforts around sustainability during the previous year:

The College has had discussions with the City of Beverly, City of Salem, Salem State University, Gordon College and Montserrat College of art to pilot a regional bike sharing program.

The Office of Sustainability has helped Salem State University plan several events with their student groups.

The College is participating in the City of Beverly's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness program and the Office of Sustainability is actively assisting in ongoing community engagement meetings at which it has presented.

Office of Sustainability recently meet with City Officials, Superintendent of Schools and local Hospital to discuss composting programs City-wide.

Endicott hosts high-achieving 8th graders from the City of Lynn for a three week Learning and Leadership Program every summer. For one week, the students focus solely on environmental science and sustainability, using the campus and surrounding coastal ecosystem as a living laboratory.
