A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to staff:

There are multiple lunch and learns, sessions, and presentations made annually to all staff members about recycling and waste management, energy efficiency, and various sustainability initiatives at home and on campus. Recently, there has been the addition of diversity and inclusion training available to all staff. Other staff is required to complete environmental, health and safety trainings. Staff are also trained about building features as new buildings are constructed and come online. As sustainability initiatives or new programs are rolled out staff is made aware, trained, and properly educated.


A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution(e.g. through payment, reimbursement, or subsidy):

Staff is encouraged to attend and speak at conferences and workshops. The internship office works closely with numerous outside organizations and there are a magnitude of opportunities to engage. Many of these non-profit organizations are brought on campus to provide education and training for staff related to sustainability.
