Energy efficiency is the primary issue in new construction and renovation.
We employ a variety of measures from waste management, green cleaners, to IPM.
In addition all of our major construction in the past five years has been designed and built by a local contractor. Our outside contractors are all from local firms, many from Beverly itself.

The director of sustainability participates in construction meetings. In addition all new construction uses the Technical Assistance programs and energy efficiency programs from the utility, National Grid. These program provide energy modeling and design assistance.
