A brief description of the child care program, policy, or practice:
The Clifton Schools is an on-site childcare facility serving the benefits-eligible employees of Emory University, Emory Healthcare, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the Centers for Disease Control and full-time Emory students. The purpose of the school is to provide the best possible childcare and learning experiences for children and to act as a family support system. The Clifton School is a non-profit corporation, managed by a Board of Directors composed of representatives of Emory, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, and the CDC. Daily operations are administered by the School's Director.
In addition to the on-site centers, Emory offers referral services to community centers, summer camps and lactation rooms. As part of our work-life initiative we have hired a dependent care coordinator to identify other day care options for working parents.
