A brief description of how printing is limited:
Emory University limits free printing for students through the administration of various printing policies depending on the division of the school. Below are the various printing policies at Emory University:
Emory's two main computer labs, Cox Hall Computer Lab and Woodruff Library, charge 7¢ per copy.
At the Law School, each law student is given a free printing allowance for the year. For academic year 2007/2008, the allowance was 500 pages to be used by August 1, 2008. After the printing allowance is used up, the cost of printing is 7¢ per single-sided sheet and 11¢ per double-sided sheet. If you print in color (only single-side printing is available), each sheet is 35¢. An EmoryCard must be used to pay for all printing.
At the Candler School of Theology, there is a charge for printing, which is 10¢ per page for black and white and 50¢ per page for color. http://candler.emory.edu/life/academic-development/mediacenter/lab.cfm
At the Goizueta Business School, on the first day of each semester, students are allocated a limited number of pages that may be printed without charge. The quota for MBA students is 600 pages ($42).
Allocated pages must be used during the semester in which they are issued. Unused pages are not carried over to the next semester. Students cannot sell or trade allocated pages. Additional pages may be purchased using the card deposit machine located in the Commons area on the 1st Floor of the Business School. Additional pages are available at 7¢/page in blocks of 100 pages (minimum purchase of $7.00). http://www.bus.emory.edu/Accepted/GBSAccountsHandout.pdf
At Rollins School of Public Health, an EmoryCard must be used to pay for all printing. The cost is 7¢ per page (11¢ for duplex printing). http://www.sph.emory.edu/computing/labs.php
Black and white laser prints are 10¢ per page, color laser prints are 75¢ per page.
The Graduate School does not produce a paper copy of the Course Atlas, nor the Course Catalog, but provides them in electronic form.
