A brief description of the campus-community council or equivalent body that gives external stakeholders a regular voice in institutional decisions that affect them:
Emerson College is a member of the Midtown Park Plaza Neighborhood Association (MPPNA). The College collaborates on a regular basis with this multi-stakeholder forum through monthly meetings hosted by the District A-1 Captain of the Boston Police Department (BPD) and Sergeant. The association is composed of local business owners, residents, institutions and other key stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the quality of life for those who work, visit or reside in the area surrounding the Theatre District located within the Midtown Cultural District.
Although the College is not currently working on a building project, the MPPNA is an organization whereby the College does solicit feedback from the community/stakeholders with regards to College plans that have an impact on the neighborhood.
