Emerson College uses WageWorks to offer the option of purchasing public transportation passes online for MBTA (i.e. Charlie Card, commuter rail), buses, trains, ferries, etc. Staff scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for a monthly subsidy of up to $84.50 towards their transit order on WageWorks. Full-time faculty are eligible for a monthly subsidy of up to $42.25 towards their transit order. On- and off-campus students may enroll in the MBTA Semester Pass Program.

To assist with the formation of carpools, Emerson College offers Bay State Commute, a web-based system ride-matching program. This program allows commuters to quickly determine if they match other commuters with similar commuting hours and patterns. Because this real-time program is web-based, within seconds of submitting their information, commuters receive a list of other commuters they match for potential rideshare.
