A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
During new employee orientation sessions (staff and faculty), a brief overview of Elon's commitment to sustainability is provided by the Director of Sustainability. The inclusive definition of sustainability is shared as framing for Elon's sustainability efforts as well as Elon's carbon neutrality goal. New employees are provided information on alternative transportation options, waste reduction and ways to contribute to Sustainability at Elon.
