A brief description of the sustainability newsletter or social media platform:
The Sustainability Newsletter was started in the fall of 2011 and is created by the Communications Intern in the Office of Sustainability with guidance from the Assistant Director for Education and Outreach. It is distributed once a semester via email to those who sign up for the student sustainability list and to all faculty and staff. It is also posted online. The content may vary each time it is published; but in general, the newsletter contains information about new programs, events, interesting information/statistics about existing programs and stories about student and/or faculty/staff projects or work related to sustainability.

The Office of Sustainability also offers a biweekly newsletter to all students who sign up for the student sustainability email list. The Inman Admissions Welcome Center has signage that highlights green building features throughout the building that contributed to the building's LEED Silver certification.

Green living guide

A brief description of the guide for green living and/or incorporating sustainability into the residential experience:
The Sustainable Living Guide provides a number of strategies and tips for incorporating sustainability into the residential experience. A printed copy of the guide is given to every Residence Life student leader at the beginning of the fall semester. They are asked to display the Sustainable Living Guide in a prominent area of their residence facility. It includes the following topics: waste management, transportation, eating and dining, energy, conscious purchasing, and water conservation. The Sustainable Living Guide for residential neighborhoods with LEED facilities includes information about the sustainable features of the LEED buildings in that neighborhood. The Sustainable Living Guides are also available online.
