A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
A sustainability course and research inventory form (electronic and paper) was created to allow faculty to report their courses and research for the inventory. The sustainability research definition in the Technical Manual was used. Office of Sustainability representatives shared information about the inventory process and requested submissions from departments/department chairs via email and in person. The research inventory from the previous STARS report was reviewed and updated. In addition, Provost Reports (which include scholarly and creative activity of faculty), the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) programs and the Spring Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) programs were reviewed for research activity that fits the definition of sustainability research. Any possible additions from these documents were confirmed with the faculty member.
Tenure, Tenure Track and Continuing Track faculty were included as researchers. The website provided includes additional researchers who were not active during the timeframe for the credit or are not researchers as defined for this credit.
