Does the institution offer a telecommute program for employees?:
Yes

A brief description of the program:

Teleworking (or telecommuting) is a voluntary, alternative work arrangement available for Edmonds Community College employees. This usually means working from home 1-3 days per week on an ongoing basis. Some people telecommute only on an “as needed/occasional” basis, and others do it regularly each week as part of their flex schedule. Each teleworking arrangement is approved on a case-by-case basis depending on job function, customer service, supervising duties and other job-related considerations. To use this option, an employee must be a permanent employee of the college and meet selection criteria (like good time management skills, successful history of functioning independently, adequate alternative worksite etc.). The work schedule is mutually agreed upon by the supervisor and employee. There is a monitoring requirement by the supervisor—i.e. to ensure the employee is actually working when teleworking and being productive. The college supplies the employee with appropriate office supplies (like paper, pens, etc.) for the successful completion of job responsibilities. In most instances, the employee is responsible for supplying the necessary equipment for teleworking (like computer and phone).
