Part 1. Wellness program

A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
Student Life Services provides the following services/activities to students:
- Counseling service with a psychologist or psychosocial worker. Individual consultations are free and confidential. First appointment within 15 working days
- Support and listening line during the holiday season
- Emergency crisis intervention service (e.g. suicidal crisis, psychosocial crisis). Same day care.
- Webinar workshops (topics: mental health, stress and anxiety management, mindfulness meditation)
- Therapeutic activities to deal with the stress of final exams: pet therapy, yoga, chair massage.
- Sentinel program: Program aimed at training ETS staff members to welcome, listen and refer to a resource, if necessary, a student in distress.
- Conferences on mental health (e.g.: the comedian Phil Roy and the management of anxiety).
- Broadcasting of vignettes on mental health
- Prevention and awareness campaign "I make a difference". This campaign, based on the concept of the active witness, raises awareness among members of the ETS community of the importance of intervening in situations of sexual violence, psychological harassment, harm related to alcohol abuse, racism, homophobia or transphobia.


The Employee Assistance Program is designed to provide timely and appropriate professional resources to improve well-being and health through telephone, online and in-office counselling for marital/family, work-related, personal and addiction issues. Telephone counselling is also available for legal or financial problems, to help them with issues related to supporting elderly parents and children, and to assist them in equipping a child with school planning.
