Which of the following best describes the institution’s approach to rainwater management?:
No written policies, plans or guidelines, but green infrastructure and LID practices are used

A brief description of the institution’s green infrastructure and LID practices:
In addition to following municipal codes for stormwater management, since 2018, the management of the green roof has been done in symbiosis with the environment, and because there is no irrigation system, the plants absorb rainwater.

The ÉTS has designed and installed various systems to reduce the load of rainwater to the sewers. Pavilion I and the Phase IV student residences are equipped with Stromsceptor systems. Pavilions D and E have retention basins. Other buildings have low flow roof drains to the sewer. The two new ÉTS parks (2020 and 2021) have rain gardens designed by landscape architects. In addition, plants, shrubs and trees on campus are native species.
