RUQDD: ÉTS is part of The Réseau universitaire québécois en développement durable (RUQDD: Sustainability Network of Québec's Universities). This committee brings together all the sustainability officers of all major universities of Québec. They meet on a regular basis and benchmark and exchange information on the best practices. The sustainability officer, Julien-Pierre Lacombe, the communications advisor - sustainable development, Sara Courcelles, as well as the engineer responsible for waste management, Noé Peres, sit on the committee.
Mohammed Cheriet, professor of systems engineering at ÉTS and executive director of the Centre interdisciplinaire de recherche en opérationnalisation du développement durable (CIRODD) sits on the board of the International Conference on Sustainable Development (CSD): Co-leader of a conference theme.

Since 2020, ÉTS has accompanied Université TÉLUQ in the establishment of its SD approach. For example, the ÉTS sustainable development advisor gave a conference to members of the Université TÉLUQ community on STARS certification to explain why it is the reference certification, why ÉTS decided to subscribe to it, how to build a STARS certification file and what the challenges are. The SD Team also met with a senior management advisor to provide strategic advice on how to engage the university in the certification process and to ensure effective and rigorous implementation of STARS certification. The SD Team also recommended the hiring of an intern and shared the job description of the ÉTS sustainability intern who is responsible for STARS certification.

During the summer of 2020, École Polytechnique Montréal and ÉTS pooled the strengths of their respective university's sustainability interns to develop a picture of the inclusion of scope 3 elements in the universities' carbon neutrality approaches.
