Otherwise, the pavilion E (Student house) is currently under LEED certification process so we don't know yet wich level of certification we will obtain. Therefore, it is not counted in the square footage presented in this section.

Steps taken during the process to obtain LEED certification for the pavilion E :
- LEED project management at CBDCa;
- Integration of sustainable development principles;
- Technical and financial analysis of the project;
- Coordination of different teams involved;
- Identification of the owner's requirements;
- Analysis of design principles;
- Preparation of commissioning sheets;
- Improved commissioning process;
- Indoor Air Quality Complaint Management Plan;
- Monitoring and verification plan in accordance with international protocol
for measuring and verifying energy performance;
- Support and validation of documentation for depositary to the
CBDCa

The green building guidelines or policies:

We don't have an official building guideline or policy but ÉTS has a life long expertise of applying the best practices for conception and operation of sustainable buildings. Accordingly we do lots of research on sustainable buildings and teach these notions to our students. In addition, some professors are involved in the conception of our sustainable buildings. This ensure that we apply state-of-the-art best practices.

Do the green building guidelines or policies cover the following?:
Yes or No
Impacts on the surrounding site (e.g. guidelines to reuse previously developed land, protect environmentally sensitive areas, and otherwise minimize site impacts) No
Energy consumption (e.g. policies requiring a minimum level of energy efficiency for buildings and their systems) Yes
Building-level energy metering Yes
Use of environmentally preferable materials (e.g. guidelines to minimize the life cycle impacts associated with building materials) No
Indoor environmental quality (i.e. guidelines to protect the health and comfort of building occupants) Yes
Water consumption (e.g. requiring minimum standards of efficiency for indoor and outdoor water use) Yes
Building-level water metering No

A brief description of the green building guidelines or policies and/or a list or sample of buildings covered:

We pursue the best practices of different buildings guidelines and policies, such as ASHRAE.

The new constructed building is pavilion E (Student house) and the new renovated building is pavilion H (Old planetarium).

A brief description of how the institution ensures compliance with green building design and construction guidelines and policies:

By following the best practices.
