A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:
The program is called Vélo sympathique by Vélo Québec. ÉTS had been certified vélo sympathique organization level silver in 2017 because of the followings initiatives:
ÉTS has 167 secure indoor bicycle parkings located in the student house, Pavilion A and B. Students and employees must pay a fee of $50 per year to obtain a personnalized padlocked parking. The changing rooms at the Sports Centre are accessible free of charge to all members of the ÉTS community. The women's changing room is equipped with hair dryers. There are also 124 outdoor bicycle parking. There are short term bicycle parkings all around the campus. Residences phase 3 and 4 have secure indoor bicycle parkings. Non-resident students are not allowed to put their bicycles there. ÉTS offers a 20% discount on annual BIXI (bicycle sharing organization) subscriptions for all members of the ÉTS community. There are also two BIXI multi-user keys that are available to ÉTS employees for their travel during working hours and three BIXI stations on the campus.
