A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:

Located in Montreal's Griffintown neighbourhood, ÉTS specializes in applied engineering education, research and technology transfer, training engineers and researchers to be recognized for their practical and innovative approach. It has approximately 10,700 students, including nearly 2,800 at the graduate level (nearly 665 at the doctoral level). Since its creation, it has maintained a unique partnership with the business community and industry, both with large companies and SMEs. For the training of its bachelor's students (and also graduate students in some cases), the cooperative education formula was adopted. ÉTS is also recognized in business for its professional development service, ÉTS formation.

L'ÉTS only has one campus, with 13 buildings. Those buildings are owned by the university and are located between saint-Jacques Street, Ann Street, De la Montagne Street and Ottawa Street. The following features have been integrated in the institutional boundary:
Pavillon A
Pavillon B
Maison des étudiants E
Résidences phase 1
Résidences phase 2
Résidences phase 3
Résidences phase 4
Centech
Ingo
AÉROÉTS

Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? Included?
Agricultural school No No
Medical school No No
Other professional school with labs and clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) No No
Satellite campus No No
Farm larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares No No
Agricultural experiment station larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares No No
Hospital No No

The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:

ÉTS owns a building (Previously Montreal Planetarium) that will not be included in the scope of application, since it's been completely renovated and could only be occupied by september 2018. We also decided to exclude two buildings, which are currently dilapidated and inocuppied. Finally, it owns another building that is currently under construction. All these buildings have been excluded from the institutional boundary because they will not be renovated or delivered until the application file is submitted.
