A brief description of the institution’s employee community service initiatives:
The employees participated in the Centraide campaign. Each year, ÉTS conducts a major internal campaign for Centraide to help break the cycle of poverty and exclusion. An organizing committee made up of about ten members of the ÉTS community organizes various fundraising activities and a major ceremony to unveil the results of the campaign.
Events that they take part in:
«Umbrella» event to mark the launch of the campaign, which reached some 40 people
The recording of a telephone message to the ÉTS community, by someone from an organisation funded by Centraide for the launch of the campaign
Preparation and sending of 6 solicitation emails
Host of a dinner for a dozen of Centraide leaders in our community, at the invitation of the executive director
The organization of a spin-ô-donation in collaboration with the sports center and the complicity of 8 volunteers who pedaled
Centraide day where 11 volunteers distributed homemade treats
Volunteering work by the BRDC team at the Relais communautaire organisation in Laval
Prize draw to donors
The unveiling ceremony that marks the closing of the campaign following the Director General's year-end address
The activities were done during lunch time and the meal is paid by the university so the employees can participate.
Otherwise, the ÉTS employees knitting club are producing hundreds of different items all year round to sale them to raise fund for the campaign
