ÉTS professors, employees and managers regularly participate in sustainable development events as speakers. Here are some examples:
Professor René Jr Landry acted as an expert and speaker at a working session entitled "Enabling air mobility in urban environment" at the 2018 edition of Movin' On, the world summit on sustainable mobility. He presented an overview of the current situation and made recommendations to make Urban Air Mobility more operational.
Professor Mohamed Cheriet produced a conference entitled "Smart Reidence Model for Sustainable City Development" at the ICLEI 2018 World Congress - Local governments for sustainability.
Professor and director of academic affairs, research and partnerships, Charles Despins presented as keynote speaker a conference entitled "Sustainability in a connected world: the IEEE Green ICT initiative" at the 31st Canadian Conference on Electrical & Computer Engineering - Innovation for a better world.

The professor Mohamed Cheriet is the new general director of the Interdisciplinary research centre in operationnalisation of sustainable development (CIRODD). Many ÉTS professors, students and employees take part in this strategic groupment of reference.
RUQDD: ÉTS is part of The Réseau universitaire québécois en développement durable (RUQDD: Sustainability Network of Québec's Universities). This comittee brings together all the sustainability officers of all major universities of Québec. They meet on a regular basis and benchmark and exchange information on the best practices.

The sustainability officer and his intern reviewed and gave feedback on the sustainability literacy assessment of the University of Montreal that they developped for their next soumission for STARS.

As part of the development of the STARS application file, counterparts from the 5 Quebec universities were consulted to discuss the methodologies adopted and best practices.
ÉTS, through the leadership of its student sustainable development committee (Tributerre), actively participated in the Park(ing) Day inter-university event with 5 other Montreal universities. This event aims to use parking spaces creatively for a day to bring awareness to the community that parking spaces occupy spaces that are part of our living environment and could be used differently.
In addition, dozens of professors have ongoing research projects with universities around the world, many of which have a direct impact on the sustainable development of campuses.
