Percentage of new employees (faculty and staff) that are offered orientation and/or outreach and guidance materials that cover sustainability topics:
100
A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
During the following weeks upon new employees arrival, a guided tour of the campus is done with them. We explain ÉTS initiatives/actions. Among these initiatives/actions discussed, there is a moment that is specifically dedicated to sustainable development initiatives. New employees are informed about STARS certification, the SD committee, all sustainable mobility initiatives (public transit incentive program, bicycle parking, discounts on the annual BIXI subscription, the Bicycle Adjustment and Repair Centre (CRABE), free electric car terminals), waste management, energy efficiency, etc. At the end, there is an open question period and employees are invited to contact the SD officer if they have questions or suggestions for the SD process.
