TribuTerre: Members of TribuTerre promote collaborative projects that aim to improve the ecoresponsible practices of the community and community life at ÉTS. The main activities organized by the group are: the sale of used books at the beginning of each semester, Repair Café aimed at countering programmed obsolencences by repairing objects of community members as well as conferences on various issues related to sustainable development.

The ÉTS Student Association has a convenience store and a restaurant bar where several ecoresponsible actions are promoted: employees mainly students, sale of local products, cultural and artistic activities, redistribution of profits to the student community, etc.

Sustainable Investment and Finance

The sustainable investment fund is called the Sustainable Development Fund of the ÉTS Student Association. Its objective is to contribute to the funding of projects carried out by members of the ÉTS community that promote the integration and application of sustainable development principles. It is voluntarily funded by each student up to $5 per semester per student and by the university.

Dozens of conferences are organized each semester at ÉTS. Several conferences are organized by student clubs, for example: conferences on energy issues organized by Énergie-ÉTS, Language Café, conference on drinkable water, conference on sport and its benefits, conference on nutrition, conferences on clean technologies, conference on entrepreneurship, conference on international cooperation, conference on equality and diversity, conference on life cycle analysis, conference on zero carbon standards in buildings, cultural conferences, « Rendez-vous branché à l'ÉTS » a fair on eletric transportation showcasing the expertise of students clubs and professors, international conference on health technologies, etc.

Different student entities organize outdoor activities. The School has dozens of scientific and technological clubs and student groups whose activities are related to sustainable development. Here are several examples: the Green Building Association, Chinook (wind vehicle), Eclipse (solar vehicle), Evolution (fuel-efficient vehicle), Omer (human-powered submarine), QUIETS (green snowmobiles), CRABE (ÉTS bicycle repair and adjustment centre), DécliQ (creativity and engineering), Énergie-ÉTS (energy issues), EtSPERANTO (community and intercultural), Intégrale (social group for the LGBTA community), Les INGénieuses (social group for female students), PRÉCI (international cooperation), project Découverte (twinning ÉTS students and 6th year students), SerreÉTS (design of energy efficient greenhouses and development of automated agricultural systems).
