A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Survey sent out through Provost office followed up by targeted emails to faculty likely to participate in sustainability-related research. The total number of employees that conduct research are based on the number of tenure-track faculty. Sustainability research is based on the same definitions used for determining sustainability related courses (i.e. research that include 1 or more sustainability emphases and relate to a UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)).
