EMU joined in the first cohort of institutions in the UVA-led Nitrogen Footprint Network in 2014 and were among the first 7 colleges and university's in North America to try to measure our nitrogen footprint. EMU has received press coverage for this work, participated in conference workshops sharing our results and methods, and been published in a recent Sustainability: the Journal of Record devoted to the topic.
