A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:

EMU collects all of our recycling on 8-foot long bicycle trailers. The trailers carry 400-500 pounds at a time. Students also use the trailers to haul kitchen food scraps to the compost facility three times a week. Recently information Systems purchased and regularly uses a three wheel bike with a large compartment on the back to haul computers and printers around campus instead of the golf cart they were using. The Grounds crew added two bike trailers for the weeding crew and gardening crew, and one electrician and one carpenter also use bikes and sometimes trailers for small jobs.
