A brief description of the program, including examples of peer-to-peer outreach activities:
EKU's Eco Reps program is a partnerships sponsored by EKU's Office of Sustainability and Housing & Residence Life. The role of Eco Rep is an elected position in Hall Government for each of EKU's 11 residence halls. Eco Reps conduct sustainability educational campaigns in their hall such as recycling "What goes where?" training and support at least two engagement events each semester in their hall. Some examples of events and activities include environmental documentary screenings, recycling competitions, and resource conservation challenges.

A brief description of how the student educators are selected:
At the beginning of each Fall semester, each residence hall hold Hall Government elections in which students are nominated or nominate themselves for specific roles in the residence hall. Eco Rep is one such elected position. Eco Reps are generally selected by the third week of the semester.

A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive to prepare them to conduct peer outreach:
A kickoff meeting is held with all Eco Reps, after election, that includes a formal training on EKU's Strategic Sustainability Plan and outlines the expectations of the role for the semester. The meeting typically occurs in an evening and includes a networking component for idea sharing, collaboration, and planning of activities.

A brief description of the financial and/or administrative support the institution provides to the program (e.g. annual budget and/or faculty/staff coordination):
Activities and supplies are funded for and/or provided by the EKU Office of Sustainability and by EKU Housing & Residence Life. EKU's Sustainability Manager and Student Sustainability Staff oversee and provide administrative support of the program.
