A brief description of the methodology used to determine the total number of courses offered and to identify sustainability course offerings, including the definitions used and the process for reviewing and/or validating the course inventory :

The course inventory was compiled through a combination of communication with Deans and Dept. Chairs to crowd-source data on courses focused on sustainability and those in which sustainability lessons or learning objectives are taught as part of the course. For courses focused on sustainability, verification was completed by referencing the EKU Course Catalog. EKU offers one sustainability focused minor with defined program goals. Sustainability courses that help to achieve one or more of the program goals directly and are required for the minor were counted as sustainability courses. For courses that include sustainability learning objectives, verification was completed by requesting syllabi and/or details about the inclusion of sustainability as a learning objectives.

How were courses with multiple offerings or sections counted for the figures reported above?:
Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
