All EICCD faciilteis except for CAC have recycling programs in place for mixed office paper (including magazines, newspaper, shredded paper, cardboard, and beverage containers. The EICCD Sustaianbility Manager, who is also the Iowa Waste Exchange representative broadly oversees recycling throughout the district, with day-to-day recycling the task of the facilities group at each location. EICCD has participated in Recyclemania. The Sustainability Initiative Recycling Team undertook a comprehensive inventory of recycling practices, procedures, deskside bins, hallway bins, etc in 2008, and this resulted in increased awareness and efficiencies of the recycling program.
