Eastern’s Big Read, October 15, 2021 - February 1, 2022
Eastern was one of 61 organizations nationwide selected to receive a 2021-22 Big Read grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The grant will support a community reading program centered around "The Best We Could Do" by Thi Bui. From October 2021 until January 2022, Eastern will host a series of events related to the book and its subject matter. Event collaborations included Eastern and the Windham and Bloomfield Public Libraries.

Gallery: Women and War
Women at War, September 12 - October 15, 2022
"Women at War" is curated by Monika Fabijanska and presented by the prestigious Fridman Gallery in New York City, in partnership with Voloshyn Gallery in Kyiv, Ukraine. The contemporary exhibition provides a context for the current war via art of varied media. Several works in the exhibition were made following Russia's full-scale invasion on Feb. 24; others were made following the 2014 annexation of Crimea.
