Students have health and counseling services provided through Eastern's Division of Student Affairs. Eastern also offers counseling services that provides mental health which promotes the psychological well-being of Eastern students. This is free to all students.

Eastern also has an Office of Wellness Education and Promotion that works to support Eastern students, enhancing the capacity for academic and personal success by emphasizing physical, emotional, intellectual, financial, occupational, environmental, social and spiritual well-being.

In keeping with the University’s intent to provide a safe and healthful work environment and in conformance with Connecticut General Statute 31-40q, smoking is prohibited in all University owned or leased buildings and facilities and at the work place. This policy applies equally to employees and visitors.
