The Student Affairs Diversity & Inclusion Committee utilized the Everfi Diversity Training platform to educate students and staff on diversity and inclusion related concepts. Incorporated with the training was a campus perceptions assessment. The data obtained from that online assessment helps to ascertain the campus climate.

Eastern has ascertained that students have a level of satisfaction regarding the diversity and inclusion of our campus. The perception is that Eastern is a welcoming environment who strives to make all persons feel included.
Of the students who responded to the survey question "Eastern is a Diverse Community," their responses were 88% favorable ("Strongly Agree" 35% and "Agree" 53%). (See p. 4-5 of Appendix I)
Of the students who responded to the survey question "The leadership at Eastern fosters respect for diversity on campus," their responses were 94% favorable ("Strongly Agree" 36% and "Agree" 58%). (See p. 5-6 of Appendix I)
Of the students who responded to the survey question "The climate in the classroom/work environment is accepting of who I am," their responses were 93% favorable ("Strongly Agree" 44% and "Agree" 49%). (See p. 6-7 of Appendix I)
