Has the institution banned or eliminated the on-site sales and distribution of at least one type of single-use disposable plastic?:
Yes
A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
*Plastic straws have been discontinued and paper straws are only available upon request.
*Plastic shopping bags are not used on campus, just paper bags.
*Reusable to-go containers are used for to-go meals in Hurley Hall.
*No Styrofoam is used anywhere in dining.
*Individually packaged utensils are only used for to-go meals and in some catering. We do our best to source biodegradable for this.
As a standard we use biodegradable plates, utensils, and cups for all catered events. Unless there is a specific client request, in which there is a fee.
