In summer 2019, Biology and Environmental Earth Science students participated in Global Field Courses that augmented their research and learning completed during the spring 2019 semester.
-BIO 320 Tropical Biology in the Bahamas studied concepts of tropical ecology, island biogeography, as well as natural history of marine and terrestrial fauna and flora.
-EES 271 Environmental Earth Science in the Wild West explored concepts in geology and environmental earth science in Wyoming and Idaho. The EES extended field course has now become an annual highlight in the EES department, excluding the 2020 and 2021 summers due to COVID-19 risk.
