A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The Connecticut Alliance for Campus Sustainability co-chaired by Eastern Connecticut State University and Yale University, serves as an ongoing statewide network to facilitate greater coordination and cooperation on sustainability among public and private institutions of higher education. The primary purpose of this collaboration is to share information as peers, foster partnerships and develop system-wide strategies to address climate change and adaptation, local and regional resiliency, stormwater and water management, land use, and other sustainability-related issues.

A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):
The Yale Office of Sustainability and the Institute for Sustainable Energy at Eastern Connecticut State University serve as conveners, communicators, catalysts, and consensus builders. The Alliance serves as a network that encourages greater coordination and cooperation on sustainability issues at the local and state levels among Connecticut institutions of higher education. The primary purpose of this collaboration is to share information, foster partnerships, and develop system-wide strategies to address climate change and adaptation, local and regional resiliency, energy efficiency and renewable energy, storm water and water management, land use, and other sustainability related issues. The Alliance promotes the efficient and effective use of existing statewide resources. The Alliance collaborates to develop new resources to support the higher education community. Since 2014 the CT Alliance for Campus Sustainability has hosted two annual conferences, and two themed sustainability round table events. The Alliance also hosted the first statewide Campus Sustainability Week during the fall of 2015.
