A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the course inventory:
The university first defined the terms "sustainability-focused" and "sustainability-related" as they applied to courses. The definitions used are available online http://www1.easternct.edu/energyscience/education-and-research/. The course descriptions available online were used to determine if the course matched the definitions outlined by the university in one of the two categories. Practicums, internships and independent studies were not included because little information was available online for those areas.
