A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:
The ETSU Student Government Association met on 2/8/11 to decide on two pieces of legislation making ETSU a more gender neutral campus. Legislation SSR-128-11 was for converting the private bathrooms on campus to gender neutral restrooms which requires a sign change. This legislation passed. The second legislation, SSR-126-11 is a request to university officials to consider offering a gender neutral residential option for students who choose to live on campus. A second part of this legislation deals with the method used to choose roommate placement procedures. The current practice is to accommodation based on needs on an individual basis. The accommodation practice observes confidentiality and is based on the sex with which they identify.
