A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
The Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) grant is funded by the Dept. of Energy and is a program which provided free energy audits to mid and small size industrial concerns. A team of ETSU faculty and students visit these factories looking for ways to save energy. These solutions can be based on many factors and sometimes involve alternative energy solutions. This grant has been in place since 2006 and is up for renewal this year. During the program ETSU has visited 21 factories in the region.
