A brief description of the green laboratory program, including the specific initiatives selected above:
We have started a Shut the Sash Campaign, which includes decommissioning fume hoods that are not regularly used as well as placing stickers (purchased from U.C. Davis) that guide lab users on appropriate height of sash opening depending on what kind of tests are being conducted. The campaign involves direct contact with student, staff, and faculty lab users as well as a walk-through inspection of building laboratory space.
