A brief description of the themed housing:
Earlham offers three housing options for students interested in sustainability: the "co-op floor" in a dorm, Gurney House, and Miller Farm. The co-op floor is explained by Residence Life as "a community of students who follow the lifestyle of environmentally sound living with the sense of communal responsibility. Students on this floor rely on each other for general upkeep of the floor, meals, and other duties..." Gurney House is the Environmental theme house, and Miller Farm is an agriculturally focused intentional living community. Residents of Gurney House are students with an sustainable living, and work with other student organizations to organize events each semester. Residents of Miller Farm also intentionally live in a sustainable manner, have the responsibility of maintaining the campus gardens, and organize agricultural and environmental events.
