A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
In partnership with Smart Commute, a survey was distributed to DC students and staff in 2017. 72.1% of participants identified as students. Transportation data was also supplied through the parking office for 2018/19 as to the number of students registered with the parking office, which was then calculated as a % based on the total # of students enrolled.
