"In the management of stormwater on site, Durham College should, wherever possible apply low impact development (LID) principles. This will help to mitigate reductions to groundwater recharge due to the increase in imperviousness caused by the proposed development. Additional guidelines relating to LID principles and criteria are identified in Section 3.1."

Durham College currently has 3 retention ponds. One large pond to the south end of the campus and two ponds on the north side of the campus.
