A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:

In partnership with Smart Commute, a survey was distributed to DC students and staff. 72.1% of participants identified as students. Transportation data was also available through the parking office as to the % of students who parked vs. commuted via alternative transportation modes. Note that motorcycle/scooter/moped option was included in single occupant vehicle %.
