A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:

In July of 2023 Duquesne University established the Department of Environmental and Energy Engineering (EEE). The Center for Environmental Research and Education (CERE) was officially sunset with it programs being incorporated into the new department. EEE provides a space for students to delve into complex environmental issues through a variety of programs that include the BS in Environmental Science, BA in Environmental Studies, minors in Environmental Science or Studies, and the MS in Environmental Science and Management as well as the BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration available in Environmental Engineering. The new Engineering Computer Lab was opened in the fall of 2024 and the new Civil and Environmental Engineering Lab will be open in the spring of 2025.
