A brief description of the undergraduate degree program:

A major in Environmental Studies will enable students to look at environmental and human issues at the local, regional, and global scale and better understand and solve these issues. Through a diverse range of courses, including environmental education, sustainability studies, conservation studies, environmental policy, natural resource management, climate change studies, ecological systems, and environmental justice, students will gain a broad knowledge base that encompasses scientific, social, and policy perspectives. The curriculum integrates hands-on experiences, fieldwork in environmental studies, and research opportunities, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and contribute to meaningful environmental research.This program will look at environmental issues through the lens of natural and social sciences to gain a nuanced view of the world, and prepare students for a future in policy, management, nonprofit engagement, and more.
