A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
Unfortunately, no official count of all academic employees who conduct research is taken.
For the purpose of this report, it is assumed that at least one academic employee in each academic program conducts research, as counted last in 2022.
To determine the number of academic employees who conduct research related to sustainability, all academic employees were contacted and asked if their research fit the description of sustainability research as provided by STARS. Furthermore, this section included information from the University Office of Research who keeps information on academic employees with funding for research. The funded research was evaluated and determined if it fit the description of sustainability research as provided by STARS.
