Duquesne University is proud to partner with Parkhurst Dining to provide a sustainable dining service. Duquesne's primary dining hall, Hogan Hall, composts 100% of pre and post-consumer materials. Duquesne's catering services composts all pre-consumer materials. Dining Services also works hard to provide vegan and vegetarian options as well as locally sourced products.

Ranked 1st in the U.S. and 5th in the world for preparing students to change the world by Corporate Knights, the one-year MBA format integrates multiple dimensions of sustainability in an experiential format. As a student, you will:

MBA Sustainable Business Practices students and faculty travel internationally to investigate business and sustainability practices from a global perspective. A trip is part of the required Global Economics course that is co-delivered with partnering universities abroad. In recent years, students have traveled to Asia, South America, Central America, the Nordic countries, Central Europe and Central America to investigate global best practices as well as opportunities and challenges in emerging economies.

Summer and Fall 2021 marked the first successful season at Duquesne University’s new campus raised-bed produce garden. Inspired by an undergraduate student thesis regarding regenerative landscaping, this garden involves students, faculty, and staff to cultivate seasonal produce for donation to food rescue groups, as well as increase biodiversity on campus, and reduce stormwater overflow.
