Notice of Nondiscrimination Policy
It is the policy of Duquesne University to admit those applicants who are best qualified to profit from the opportunities it offers for intellectual, spiritual and social growth. It does not discriminate on the basis of religious preference, sex, race, color, national or ethnic origin, non-performance-related handicap or veteran's status in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletics or other University-sponsored programs.
Duquesne University also offers test optional admission to reduce the costs for low-income students. Applicants do not need to take the SAT or ACT, which have associated fees and do not fairly predict academic preparedness of all students, to apply to Duquesne University.

Duquesne University provides students with two offices, Financial Aid and Student Accounts that can assist students and potential students with financial aid concerns every weekday during business hours.

Duquesne University's Financial Aid Office provides a free online guide about how to apply for financial aid at Duquesne University and beyond. Financial aid options range from university scholarship and employment opportunities as well as government and private scholarship, loan, and grant opportunities.

Duquesne University Academic Scholarship Award is based exclusively on academic
achievement; amount varies based on program of study, cumulative high school GPA and standardized test scores.
On-Campus Room Award is an award available to students who live on campus.
Other scholarships include: Chancellor's Scholarship, Leading Teacher Program (LTP) 50% Award, and the ROTC Scholars Award.

Duquesne University does not have targeted outreach to students of any income background but does do outreach at almost all Preview Days and Open Houses to attract students of all demographic backgrounds.

Duquesne University works to ensure that veterans and their dependents are eligible for education benefits. The Certifying Official at Duquesne University can assist you in obtaining VA benefits. Walk-up services are available at the Registrar's Office on the ground floor of the Administration Building during normal business hours.

Duquesne University and the YMCA Duquesne University Child Development Center offers child care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age. This service is available to all members of the Duquesne community; faculty, staff, and students.
