Bo Solomon serves as Treasurer of University Surplus Property Association, a nationwide association for the information on the resale and reuse of surplus property for institutions of higher learning. Surplus programs at Universities help minimize waste by preventing reusable items from entering the waste stream.

As a member of the Southeast Pennsylvania Sustainable Schools network (an informal network of sustainability officers at institutions in Southeast PA), Drexel representatives participate in occasional meetings to share resources and experiences on sustainability initiatives on campus.
