The Sustainability Effectiveness Committee was one committee in Drexel's institutional effectiveness self-study during FY 2019-2020. The committee developed a set of recommendations to improve Drexel's sustainability performance.
From the Effectiveness Committee, the Drexel Climate and Sustainability Working Group formed to advance climate and sustainability initiatives in academic curriculum, research, civic engagement, and institutional investment.

Lisa Miller, COO of the Academy of Natural Sciences, and member of the Sustainability Effectiveness Committee;
Bo Solomon, Director of Accounts Payable, now serving as the University Sustainability Officer;
Jennifer Britton, Director of Communications and Special Projects for the Office of University and Community Partnerships;
Hugh Johnson, Senior Associate in the Office of Research and Innovation;
Korin Tangtrakul, Sustainability Manager of the Sustainable Water Resource Engineering Lab;
Aditi Bawa, co-op student researcher

The Climate and Sustainability Working Group was launched during spring 2020, and immediately began working on a set of university-wide initiatives, including our first STARS report(!), bringing applied teaching opportunities related to campus sustainability projects, and created a central website to house institution-wide climate and sustainability initiatives and programs.
