Department heads university wide responded to an email asking how many faculty in their department conduct sustainability-related research. The resulting list of research faculty was cross-checked with each faculty member's Drexel profile to ensure that their research was related to sustainability.
The headcount of faculty and/or staff that are engaged in research came from a tally from HR, which included Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor positions. Staff were not included in an of the headcounts for this section.
The number of academic departments that include at least one faculty or staff member that conducts research was derived from a list from the Office of Research of sponsored research activities by department for the last three years.
