A brief description of the pre-consumer food waste composting program:
The main dining hall does take part in pre-consumer food composting. There is no composting in other on-campus dining facilities.
All vegetable and meat trimmings from the kitchen are collected and composted, where it is then shipped out of state to Delaware. Waste Management is the company responsible for pre-consumer composting.
